2 Pieces of Super Metroid Art

Some Art from Super Metroid
These pieces are actually just inside jokes in drawing form. I'll explain as we go.
Kraid So Small He Can Fit in the Palm of Your Hand
The drawing part of this is Mini Kraid himself. Basically just a cel-shaded version of the short Kraid. The background was a recompilation of Super Metroid sprites that makes the background of Kraid's lair. That was added later. The stock photo hand is part of the joke, because it's just funny seeing a drawing and a poorly edited stock photo in the same shot together. It does make the production value shotty though.
The joke here derives itself from both Metroid on the NES and Super Metroid on the SNES. On the NES, Kraid was the same size, if not a little shorter, than the player character, Samus.
Your next encounter with Kraid is on the SNES, where he's gotten a noticeable size upgrade; he's now taller than Samus!
However, he dies in like 3 seconds. That's because that's a fake Kraid. The real Kraid, then?
They made him MASSIVE. This is why the fake Kraid in Super Metroid is often referred to as "Mini Kraid". He's literally a miniature Kraid.

The inside joke of Mini Kraid fitting in the palm of your hand was an overreaction some friends and I had in the size difference of Kraid and Mini Kraid; he might as well fit in your hand compared to the real one.
Da Baby Metroid
This one's way easier to explain, it's a play on the phrase "Dababy" and "the baby Metroid".
In Super Metroid, the baby Metroid is the last remaining Metroid in existence, and is being held in captivity for research. The space pirates steal the baby, kickstarting the events of the game, where Samus returns back to Planet Zebes in search of the baby and to stop the space pirates again.

The piece is a combination of the baby Metroid's design, along side the pose and hat from this picture of Dababy. (If I wanted to, to be more true to the source and make it a bit more clear, I could add Samus sitting on the rim of the hat, considering how large the baby Metroid gets by the end of the game, becoming the Super Metroid.)
